Whenever I had the opportunity, I would walk through Grand Central Terminal. For many years, I lived on the east side and took the 4/5/6 trains and would transfer here. The platform was always crowded so I would often just get out and walk.

South Bronx, The Bronx - New York City // Yankee Stadium is a Major League Ballpark in New York City and replaced the original Yankee Stadium. The original Yankee Stadium, known as "The House that Ruth Built," was built in 1923. The "New" Yankee Stadium opened in 2009. Located next to three New York City Subway lines and the Metro North commuter railway, Yankee Stadium is easily accessible for fans all over the New York City metropolitan area. A couple enjoys the fall leaves in a row boat on The Lake in Central Park. The Lake was completed in 1858. The San Remo Apartments, located on Manhattan's 74th Street, can be seen in the background. The San Remo was built in 1931 and has been home to many famous New Yorkers.

The Brooklyn Bridge and The Tobacco Warehouse on a beautiful fall day at Empire-Fulton Ferry Park. The park is located in the DUMBO neighborhood of Brooklyn. The Tobacco Warehouse was built in the 1870s and is currently being renovated. The Warehouse was built as a center to inspect tobacco when it arrived in Brooklyn. As of 2008, Empire-Fulton Ferry Park is part of the larger Brooklyn Bridge Park which was started in the same year and has reclaimed much of Brooklyn's industrial shoreline. The beautiful yellow, orange and red leaves frame the old warehouse and the Brooklyn Bridge nicely. // 10/2012

The day after Hurricane Sandy hit New York City, the Battery Park Underpass is flooded. The Whitehall Building on the left was also flooded and would not reopen for months.
New York City's public transit is what keeps the city moving. The busses and subways average over 7 million rides each weekday.
